This is a cordless/wireless drill set. I used these particular instruments during a total hip replacement (see the hip trials above too) and that’s how they got nice and bloody. As you can see, it’s pretty much the same as a hand piece you would use around the house, different attachments for different purposes including a wire driver piece.
Obviously all these instruments are sterile, the only part that isn’t is the battery pack which sits in a docking station charging. You would have your circulating practitioner drop it into your hand piece using a protective shield. This is so the scrub practitioner never has to touch the contaminated part.
